Rising Nollywood actress and young entrepreneur, Adebowale Kehinde<\/strong><\/a>, also known as MassKennyD, has firmly stated that sex for roles should never be an option for any aspiring actress in the Nigerian film industry. In a candid interview with The Nation<\/em>, the talented actress emphasized that such practices are not only inappropriate but also dangerous for anyone looking to make a name in the industry.<\/p>\n

MassKennyD\u2019s Stand on Sex for Roles in Nollywood<\/strong><\/p>\n

MassKennyD, a graduate of Accounting from the Esa-Oke College of Technology in Osun State, expressed her strong stance on the issue, saying, \u201cIt should never be an option for any aspiring actress in the industry, and it\u2019s a dangerous path to tread.\u201d Her bold statement highlights the importance of integrity and professionalism for anyone pursuing a career in Nollywood.<\/p>\n

Fighting Against Bullying and Promoting Respect in Nollywood<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to speaking out against exploitation, MassKennyD shared her personal experiences with bullying in the industry. She revealed, \u201cI have never liked the feeling of being bullied. This is something almost every last child can relate with. For this reason, I have a strong aversion to bullying.\u201d The actress further explained how she handles difficult situations, saying, \u201cI try not to overstep my boundaries so as not to create issues with senior colleagues because I like to fight for what\u2019s right and just.\u201d MassKennyD recounted an incident on set where she was spoken to rudely, but remained calm until a coordinator intervened to address the situation.<\/p>\n

From Passion to Profession: MassKennyD\u2019s Journey to Nollywood<\/strong><\/p>\n

MassKennyD\u2019s journey into acting began early in life. She shared, \u201cRight from when I was in primary school, I always enjoyed performing with the Drama & Cultural Group, and this continued even in secondary school.\u201d After completing her O’Level education, she met Nollywood star Aunty Laide Bakare, who became a mentor to her. MassKennyD described how Aunty Laide took her under her wing, introducing her to the world of film sets, further fueling her passion for acting.<\/p>\n

Though she did not have formal training at the time, MassKennyD was determined to learn and grow. \u201cI shared my desire to be trained formally with her, then she took me to the late Dejo Tunfulu, who had an academy then,\u201d MassKennyD recalled.<\/p>\n

MassKennyD\u2019s Nollywood Filmography and Upcoming Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n

MassKennyD has featured in several Nollywood movies, including Owo Ma Go<\/em>, Inu Ji<\/em>, Omoge Jemila<\/em>, Ago Kan Oru<\/em>, Omo Meji<\/em>, Temilade Oniyepe<\/em>, Secretary<\/em>, Iwa<\/em>, Akuko Oru<\/em>, Itele<\/em>, Oga Google<\/em>, Kakaki<\/em>, and Jomiloju<\/em>. She is also working on her own production, Okinni<\/em>, which is currently in development.<\/p>\n
